It’s no secret that cyber threats are on the rise across corporations as well as individuals. While this is cause for concern for individuals and companies alike, one industry that is thriving as a result is that of Cyber Security.
The CyberTech Expo held in Tel Aviv, Israel this January was proof that the number of companies that exist to counter such threats is growing at an unprecedented rate. In fact, the expo had an entire section dedicated to start-ups who had just received their initial investment with an idea that fills another gap in the market and addresses another threat issue. The expo ran over 2 days in Israel, a country that is known for its growing focus in Cyber Security. Many companies are founded by those who have worked in the Israeli military defence and bring to the table in-depth technical knowledge, positive energy and high ambitions.
It was a pleasure to meet many of the companies exhibiting there and understand the benefits of their products or services. However what we did notice at FMXA, was that although each company had its own unique offering, the biggest challenge they faced was differentiating themselves in an already populated industry. This is especially true when launching their product into the EU market where Cyber Security is already advanced and competitive; making it more difficult to penetrate.
It’s for this reason that we visited CyberTech, to eagerly explore the new opportunities and see how we can help launch established companies and start-ups in EMEA. We know that instead of cold calling which has proven to be unpopular and yield few results, it’s more important to build up genuine awareness using a blend of marketing activities such as PR and social media. Every campaign needs to be built on the understanding of the company and its targets. With a strategic, integrated approach, potential customers are more likely to come to you or be more receptive to having a conversation when approached.
